Silver Spur RV Park Review – Campground Review

Silver Spur RV Park ReviewWe traveled over the mountains this week to get some work done at AM Solar in Eugene, OR and needed to stay a night before our appointment. We decided to try Silver Spur RV Park. We had stayed here 11 years ago when it was a brand new park. At that time it was pretty empty, but had beautiful sites and a lovely office/lodge. What difference 11 years has made.

The park is still lovely, but is now filled to capacity during the summer months. So if you plan to stay here during the busy summer season, be sure to call ahead and make reservations.

Silver Spur RV Park Review

Silver Spur has 139 beautiful landscaped sites with full hookups including cable at all sites. Most of the sites are pull thru and most of the trees have grown enough for shade during part of the day. Each site has a table and parking space for you toad or tow vehicle. The utility pole is well maintained and the sewer drain is well away from the water supply.

About half of the sites are filled with longterm rigs, but are well kept. The grounds and buildings are spotless. It has several ponds, fishing, walking trails, a dog walk area, a playground, a game room and facilities for family gatherings.

The office has a huge fireplace with lounge chairs, TV, popcorn, coffee and a lending library where you can trade books.

The restrooms, showers and laundry are spotless and there is propane available as well as a small store.

The free WIFI actually works and there is full Verizon coverage.

Silver Spur RV Park is located in Silverton, OR in the beautiful Willamette Valley and a short distance from Silver Falls State Park and The Oregon Garden

We loved staying here. The staff was friendly and very helpful. If you are needing a place to stay for the night or longer this is an excellent choice convenient to Salem, Portland, Eugene or the activities around Silverton.

How you get there

From Portland on I-5 Take Exit 260B to Keizer. Turn Left on Chemawa Rd. From Eugene on I-5 take exit 260 to Keizer. Turn Right on Chemawa Rd. Chemawa turns into Hazelgreen Rd. Stay on Hazelgreen for 6 miles. Turn Right on Howell Prairie for 1 Mile and Then Left onto Silverton Rd for 4 miles. Park will be on right side of the Road.

Karlene’s brother and wife stay here with their rv Club and love it as well. Come all the way from Wilsonville to stay. By the way, Ed is not doing too well. Bruce checked on him yesterday morning before we left and he was pretty much bed ridden with his sinus problems. Hopefully, nothing too serious.

Thanks for the home up date. We will not be back home for a while. Headed to Montana next.

Love to hear from you!
