Elochoman Slough Marina RV Park – Campground Review

Elochoman Slough-3As we were leaving the Olympic Peninsula we found a little campground on the north shore of the Columbia River that offered just what we were looking for; an inexpensive campground on the water where we could spend the night.

Elochoman Slough-7 It is primarily for boaters and fishing, but the campground is fine for an overnight stay. There is water and power only at the sites, but a dump station available.

Elochoman Slough-6Elochoman Slough Marina is located in Cathlamet, Washington on the Lower Columbia River. The only traffic you hear are the fishing boats going out early in the morning.

The Elochoman Slough Marina is a focus of Wahkiakum County recreational and economic activity.  Boaters from Portland and Vancouver, as well as Ilwaco and Astoria, flock to the Elochoman Slough Marina because of its location, its historical river town amenities, and the pristine rural character of the surrounding land.

Elochoman Slough-4The marina offers yurts, recreational vehicle hook-ups and dry land camping. Pets are welcome, but must be on a leash.

Restrooms and showers are shared with all the guests in the marina. They are very clean. There is a fee for the showers.

Our favorite part of the stay was watching the boats come in at the end of the day and unloading their catch. The sunset on the Columbia River was exquisite.
