The Desert Bar is another one of those out of the way experiences that you will never forget. It is situated in the Buckskin Mountains, in Parker, Arizona, on land that was an old mining camp.

Note the solar panels

It is one of the “greener bars” you will ever visit. It’s powered by solar power and as you can see from the pictures, it’s a popular place to visit. They have live music and the food is good. The road out to the bar is a big part of the experience.

The bar is located 5 miles off the Cienega Springs Rd exit on Hwy-95, approximately 5 miles north of Parker, Arizona. To get there you take a narrow dirt road.

Busy Sunday Morning

The Desert Bar is open Oct thru April, Saturdays and Sundays only from high noon till 6pm, Az time and holidays during these months. There live music October through March, depending on the weather. Music is on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. Till 5:00 p.m.

We went out well before the 12 o’clock opening to beat the crowd but we discovered that a lot of others had the same idea.
