Summer in Eastern Washington State is not a time for boon docking if you want to be cool. So we decided to try a new to us RV park so we could plug in for the night and run the air conditioner. Coyote Run RV Park in Connel, Washington just off of US 396 seemed to fit the bill. Since it was 95 degrees when we pulled in and it was not expected to get below 80 until the wee hours, it was a good decision.
We are once again on our way north to Montana to visit our son and his family. We are looking forward to spending more time with the grandchildren. They are growing so fast and we are missing so much of their childhood.
We started a tradition with them several years ago of having Christmas in July since we do not see them at Christmas time. We added birthdays to make the occasion even more exciting. So we are ladened with gifts wrapped with Christmas and birthday paper.
We called ahead to make reservations at the RV park and were given a very nice pull-thru site close to the office. As we pulled in we noticed that the park was very well-kept and the sites pleasant with trees, grass and tables at each site.
The owners of the park lived in the rig parked next to our and were very friendly and helpful. They gave us a key to the bathrooms ($5.00 refundable when we left) and explained that each individual bathroom is equipped with a toilet, sink and shower.
We settled into the rig for the night very grateful that we made the decision to live in air-conditioned comfort. We watched TV for a bit through their cable hook-up and used their excellent free wifi to catch up on email and social media.
The park has 82 sites (50 are seasonals), has both tent and RV sites and can accept big rigs. There are 23 pull thru sites, 72 full hookup sites with 20,30,50 amp service, dump and water as well as cable. There is a dump, laundry facilities and a pet area.
If you are traveling along US 395 in Eastern Washington and need a convenient place to stay for the night, Coyote Run RV Park is an excellent choice. If it is summer, we would suggest calling ahead to secure a site.
